Here is a list of items you might include on a daily pregnancy checklist:
Take your prenatal vitamins: Start this as soon as you think you might be pregnant. I would take a prenatal vitamin everyday during your childbearing years to insure the correct amount of nutrient availability at all times. his is important to ensure that you and your baby are getting the essential nutrients needed, including Omega-3 fatty acids, folic acid, vitamin B-12, calcium and a general multivitamin.
Drink plenty of water: Staying hydrated is important for both you and your baby. Aim to drink at least half your body weight in ounces of water per day.
Eat a healthy diet: Make sure to include a variety of fruits, vegetables, and protein in your diet. There are many great cookbooks available to keep the variety fresh and new. Raw and unpasteurized food is usually on the avoid lists.
Exercise: Moderate exercise, such as walking, swimming and yoga, are generally safe for almost all pregnancies. The list of benefits is almost too vast to list and can help improve your overall health and well-being.
Get enough sleep and recovery: Pregnancy can be physically and emotionally draining, so it's important to get enough rest to help you stay healthy and energized.
Follow your healthcare provider's recommendations: If you haven't booked your initial visit to your doctor or midwife, now is the time. Attend all scheduled appointments and follow your healthcare provider's instructions for taking care of yourself and your baby.
Consider buying journal or baby book now and create a daily habit of writing down your journey towards motherhood. You wil be glad you did.
